I’m Sam, and I’ve spent the last 8 years at a large multi-national developing their approach to product sustainability, both upstream and downstream.

Hailing from a design background, I’ve learnt how to understand global systems, ISO standards and pending legislation and translate them into metrics to create measurable changes across the design process.

I’ve travelled Europe evaluating material manufacture, recycling, repair and refurbishment sites, turning my findings into actionable insights for design and development teams.

I’ve labored over the smallest design, material and manufacturing details with teams, and I’ve worked on company wide strategy to facilitate better repair, refurbishment and recycling processes.

I’ve created streamlined life cycle assessment tools, and trained engineers in how to use them effectively, empowering more informed development.

I’ve worked with upstream teams to re-define product concepts, and refurbishment facilities to highlight barriers that hamper product circularity.

This experience across the product development process has left me with the skills to assess product and systems holistically, to delve into the detail where required, and to zoom out and look at the bigger picture .
